To say Gladys Perint Palmer has an eye for fashion is an understatement. The illustrator, who studied at both Central Saint Martins in London and Parsons The New School of Design before having her drawings appear everywhere from British Vogue to the San Francisco Examiner, has long captured the comings and goings, shifting hemlines, and key players in the fashion world with her signature caricatures, whipped up from outposts and runways all over the world in a myriad of inks and washes. Her latest book, Adam & Yves, is being celebrated at Lincoln Center tonight with a signing, but for those of you unable to make it to the tents, here is a sneak peak. After all, what better way to kick off fashion week in New York than with a little visual romp through the last three decades of the clothes and people we love?
