The rain came down on Paris Fashion Week for the first time today, but that didn’t stop fans from lining up outside Colette for Grace Coddington’s book signing this evening. Vogue’s Creative Director at Large has taken Grace: The American Vogue Years (Phaidon) on a European tour of sorts; after several events in New York, Coddington stopped off for more signings in London last week, where crowds gathered to get their copies inscribed with a personal message from the styling legend. Flip through the pages of her latest work, though, and you’ll notice that the French capital provided the backdrop to many of the most spectacular pictures she helped to create: Tim Walker’s spellbinding photos of Kate Moss lounging around the Ritz hotel in various states of haute couture dress spring to mind.
